Medical Treatments & Fees
At Balance Medical Center, we offer our patients a variety of choices to suit their individual needs. In every program, you will receive treatment from a leading edge physician formally trained in the field of Integrative Medicine. This page contains information on the Annual Membership, the Gastrointestinal Health Program, the HCG Weight Loss Program, the Food Intolerance Program, and the Pay-Per-Visit Option.

Comprehensive Annual Membership Program
The time allotted to this program enables the physician to understand how all your body systems are connecting to one another. It is our most comprehensive program, and the one most favoured by our patients. This comprehensive program includes unlimited in office access to the treating physician. Besides being cost effective, the value of the program lies in the significant medical expertise that the doctor has to offer you. You will gain access to a fully trained board certified Integrative Medicine doctor for the year that you sign up. The visits will start with an initial 60 minute consultation and will then vary from 15 to 30 minute visits throughout the year. All visits are by appointment only, and the doctors are very particular about being on time for their patients. The number of visits that you will require depends on the complexity of your case and your personal needs.
Note: New patients are not required to sign up for the Annual Membership Program before the initial consult. You may choose your plan of payment at the end of your first visit.
When indicated, lab testing through MSP will be ordered. In many cases, the practitioner or patient will request that private testing be done. Private lab testing is not included in the price of the annual fee. The average cost of a single comprehensive lab test is between $300 and $450.

Gastrointestinal Health Program
The GI Health Program is designed for patients requiring a functional gastrointestinal evaluation. It is best suited towards patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), suspected parasites or other gastrointestinal issues such as bloating, constipation, heartburn or indigestion. In 4 to 6 months, we aim to achieve a healthy functioning intestinal tract in which foods are digested and absorbed efficiently. This program includes:
- An initial 60-minute consultation
- 1 follow-up 60-minute appointment
- 2 subsequent 30-minute follow-up appointments
- 1 comprehensive gastrointestinal stool and saliva analysis
- Membership to attend periodic information sessions
Fees & Payment Options:

Two equal payments*: $675
*payable during the first two months and includes a $45 administration fee
HCG Weight Loss Program
The HCG Weight Loss Program is designed for patients who have had difficulty losing unwanted pounds of fat by using conventional methods of weight loss. The program involves a low calorie diet while using the hormone, HCG. The theory is that HCG gives a signal to the body to burn fat, so the patient will not feel hungry on the low calorie diet. This program includes:
- An initial 60-minute consultation
- 4 weekly visits (15 minutes in length) with the physician to monitor for weight loss, benefits and side effects of treatment
- 4 intravenous vitamin treatments following the physician consultation to ensure optimal nutrition throughout the diet
- 2 subsequent 15 minute follow up visits in the maintenance phase of the program
- Adequate amounts of hcg hormone, which can be given either sublingually (under the tongue) or injectable
- 1 bottle of a Magnesium/Potassium blend to account for electrolyte shifts during the weight loss program

Food Intolerance Program
The Food Intolerance Program is ideal for those seeking information on food sensitivities. This program is designed to quickly identify your intolerant foods so that you may eliminate them from your diet, thus ridding your body of undesirable symptoms. Patients can choose the number of foods to be tested depending on their needs and price level. It includes:
- An initial 30-minute consultation
- 1 follow-up 30-minute appointment
- 1 food intolerance profile.

Basic Test:
Gluten, Soy, Milk and Egg proteins
Total cost including visits: $400
Home Food Allergy Test:
The 95 most common foods in a diet.
Total cost including visits: $500
The Extended Food Panel:
The 190 most common foods in a diet.

Pay-Per-Visit Program
Clients may choose to receive treatment on a visit by visit basis. Appointments are available in 30-minute and 60-minute blocks depending on the patient's needs. The doctor and office manager would be happy to help you decide which appointment length is the most appropriate for you. In order to properly treat patients, all patients must undergo initial mandatory lab testing. Private lab testing ranges from $150 - $700 depending on the nature of the test. The average comprehensive lab test is between $300 and $450. Private tests are in addition to the cost of the appointment.
Note: The initial consultation must be booked as a 60-minute appointment in order for the physician to be familiarized with your personal health history.

Phone Appointments
For out of town patients, we offer the convenience of telephone appointments. A full consultation including medical advice and prescriptions can be given via telephone. In order to successfully join the program, an initial one-hour appointment on-site is required. Following this, phone appointments may be substituted for office check-ups over the course of the year at the patient's discretion. Phone consults are considered equivalent to office visits, whether you join the Annual Program or choose the Pay-Per-Visit Program.
HST is not applicable to most of our medical services.
