The COVID19 pandemic has challenged our mental and physical health, and left many feeling isolated. This retreat will cultivate connection through talk circles and shared experiences, as well as highlight the healing powers and science behind food, connection, emotions, and the creative arts.

Friday, Nov 11

  • 3 PM: Check in and Guided Orientation
  • 3:45 PM – 4 PM: Introduction and Welcome
  • 4 PM – 4:30 PM: Icebreaker Games
  • 4:30PM – 5:15PM: Short talk by Dr. Barnett on glucose spikes, CGMs, anti-inflammatory diet, and Q+A
  • 5:15 PM – 6 PM: 5 min Healing Design Program Presentation (German) and mind map exercise
  • 6 PM – 7 PM: Dinner
  • After Dinner: Opening Ceremony

Saturday, Nov 12

  • 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM: Yoga + Meditation
  • 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM: Breakfast
  • 9:30 AM – 10 AM: Dr. Barnett presentation on emotions, the creative arts and healing
  • 10 AM – 10:45 AM: Drum circle
  • 10:45 AM – 12:15PM: Dance class
  • 12:15PM– 1 PM: Sound healing & guided meditation
  • 1 PM – 2 PM: Lunch
  • 2 PM – 3 PM: Personal time
  • 3 PM – 5 PM: 5 min Design Talk and Grounding meditation, nature walk for design materials, start design project
  • 5 PM – 6 PM: Personal time
  • 6 PM – 7 PM: Dinner
  • 7 PM – Sunset: Work on design therapy project with guidance from German

Sunday, Nov 13

  • 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM: Yoga
  • 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM: Breakfast
  • 9:30 AM – 11 AM: Design project sharing, closing ceremony
  • 11 AM: Checkout

Important Notes:

  • You must check-out from your rooms at 10 AM, but we have the facility until 1PM
  • Each person gets a mailed continuous glucose monitor 1 week before retreat
  • Each meal opportunity to discuss glucose trends with Dr. Barnett
